Frequently Asked Questions
What should we bring?
You don’t need to bring anything in particular - just yourselves, in a mood to party!
We’re currently brewing a lot of our own beverages and working on the menu for the day, so there should be plenty to eat and drink.
I’m not sure how I should get to the wedding venue!
If planning to drive:
There is parking for up to 35 guest cars on site, accessed via George St (if coming from south, east, or west) or Titoki St (if coming from city or north). See attached map to confirm which parking spots are for Jubilee Building.
You will not be able to leave a car overnight as there is a farmers’ market in this area on Saturdays.
If planning to catch a train:
Don’t be fooled; Parnell train station is not as convenient as Google Maps makes it seem! We suggest going to Newmarket station instead, it’s about a 10 minute walk. Trains run from Newmarket to and from all lines, until around 1:30am on Friday nights.
If planning to catch a bus:
If coming from the city area, the branded green InnerLink and orange OuterLink buses are your best bet - they’re easy to spot and run at least every 15 minutes, stopping just outside the venue. The stop name is Parnell Library and there are announcements on-board.
If planning to Uber/rideshare:
Overseas Uber accounts work here in Aotearoa, so Uber will be as easy as it is back home.
There are multiple taxi companies operating in Auckland - the Taxi Cooperative has a nice memorable number though! 09 300 3000, and they operate 24/7.
What about our kids?
Kids are welcome at the Ceremony, but we are keeping the reception child-free, since we’d like the booze to flow and for the adults to imbibe freely.
We’ve rented a separate room in the venue as a childcare/Under-18s space - we’ll have someone looking after the little ones, and there will be food and entertainment provided for them. And it’s just across the hall, so you can duck out and check on them whenever you fancy.
Do you have a Registry?
We aren’t having a typical Registry for the Wedding (we have plenty of stuff!), but there are some things we’d like…
Check out our Registry page if you’re going to insist on getting us something, however we aren’t expecting anything, so don’t feel obliged.
Is there anything I can help with on the day?
Actually, yes!
We’re catering as much of the food and drink as we can ourselves, we’d love a hand from our friends and family (particularly those with Hospo experience!) with regard to the service of the food and beverages. There’s also a bunch of things that we suck at, and would really appreciate some help with, so please speak up if you have any expertise we can put to use!
Check out the Help Out page to see if there’s anything you can help out with - the more people we have to help, the less each person has to do!
Event update: Saturday 21 February 2026 Post-wedding brunch, lunch, coffee, and chill
For all our friends who are staying in Auckland a bit longer, we would love for you to join us on Saturday 21 February 2026 from 10:30am for a very informal brunch/lunch/coffee/drink at the delightful Jaan Mezze Lounge in Kingsland.
Address: 505 New North Rd Kingsland, Auckland. We will be down the stairs in the beer garden out the back of the venue.
Menu: https://jaan.nz/menu-turkish-mediterranean-cuisine/. There’s no set menu, everyone can just order as they go. Highly recommend having lunch there if you don’t have other plans!
Time: Show up any time between 10:30 and 15:30.
Getting there: Public transport is the best way – it’s an easy stroll from Kingsland train station (catch a Western line service towards Swanson) and also easily reached by the frequent 22N/R service from midtown city centre, or the frequent 20 from Ponsonby area. There is off-street parking at 430 New North Rd but only 13 spots – driving may require parking a bit further away, sorry!
RSVP: Jaan have been wonderful and accommodating as they understand people will come and go – but if you do know for sure you’ll make it just drop us a message so we can give them some really rough numbers. Ngā mihi!
